Estes Family Christmas

Sadly Christmas has already come and gone, but it was a wonderful holiday full of Christmas movies, visits with Santa, sledding and lights, lights and more lights.

This was Michael's third Christmas and he quickly grasped who Santa was, constantly saying "ho, ho, ho" at the sound of his name and being drawn to every Christmas aisle there was when we were out and about. And every night it was "night, night Santa" (speaking to our blow-up Santa and reindeer in the front yard)... Let's just say he "got it" this year and loved every second.

Below are some pictures from our holiday.

Pre-Christmas
Surprisingly, Michael's third visit with Santa went very smoothly. We were afraid it might be "stranger danger" time, but instead Michael was VERY excited to see Santa. The picture below is blurry (it's a picture of a picture), but you get the idea.

On Christmas Eve we attended a local children's service and boy am I glad I did. In case you hadn't figured it out, our little boy is a little ham. At first, he was his typical bashful but charming self with the other attendees, but as soon as he saw other kids with costumes on walking around the church, it was game on. So, Michael became a sheep and participate he did - even when it wasn't warranted...

And Michael was kind enough to leave Santa and his reindeer some snacks to thank them for their lengthy travel to our house (and check out those Santa shoes - thanks Nonny!).

Christmas Day
Our family and Santa were VERY generous to our whole family in 2013 as you can see from this Christmas morning picture. It took us hours to unwrap all of our amazing gifts, and when I say "we," I mean Michael who was adament about unwrapping ALL the gifts regardless of who they were to.

LIGHTS!
There were two community light "events" that we visited: the Chatfield Botanic Garden's "Trail of Lights" and the Hudson Gardens Light Show and they were both exceptional. Check 'em out:

Post-Christmas Sledding
It snowed shortly after Christmas so it was time for Michael to try out one of his new Christmas gifts, a sled!  Auntie Em came along to play too and although cold, he (they) had a blast on the "slopes!"

GO BRONCOS!
Mom bought David and I Broncos jersey's for Christmas so we took a family picture around Christmas as well. And I guess it worked since we're now Super Bowl bound... GO BRONCOS!
