Busy, Busy... Swimming Lessons, Sledding & the Denver Firefighters Museum

As you know by now, most weekends mean adventure time for our family and this weekend was no exception. On New Years Day we took Michael to our local sledding hill and although he determined that he could only ride down the hill with Daddy, and not Mommy, he had fun.

I am a bit of a panicker and kept using my feet to try and stop us when we got going too fast. Well that kicked snow into Michael's face - which he did not like - and caused some mini-meltdowns. But like the trooper he is Michael got back up and he went down the hill with Daddy several times.

Then on Saturday we went to Michael's first swim lesson along with his best buddy Noble. He listened to the teacher and did so well. Plus we stayed afterward and played in the rec. center's min-water park - it was a good day.

So, as part of his reward for doing so well, we went to Chick-fil-a for lunch (a favorite of Michael's and toddlers everywhere) and then to the Denver Firefighter's Museum - a gift from Auggie and Poppa for Christmas.

Michael loved playing fireman and I captured some great pictures of all the fun we had - even me.

Here's some pictures from our adventures:

Sledding

We have a great local sledding him that all the kids in Littleton enjoy - Michael has become one of those.

He was a trooper for a while walking up the hill...

Then he decided he needed a "lift." We obliged.

As mentioned previously, this was the first and only time I rode down with him - we will buy him some goggles for next time so the snow doesn't get in his face...

My boys... I LOVE this picture.

Down the hill they go.

 Swim Lessons

There are four kids in his swim class, but Noble and Michael were the first kids there,
so they got some extra attention.

And there goes Michael...

The boys had so much fun together.

Trying to float on his back...

Then it was jump off the side of the pool time - a favorite of Michael's.

Making best buds with his swim coach - of course...

That's right, even Mommy got-in on the fun.

He was allowed to touch anything in this case so of course, Michael wanted to touch it all...

Sliding down the pole like a real fireman!

The Museum was in an actual old firehouse - it was very cool!
