A dozen you say?! Yep! He can "say" (well, we know what he's saying ...): dad, mama, doggy, cat, cheese, hi, bye, yea, no (ugh - just learned this one), uh oh (my favorite), bird, book and more. Three months ago he sometimes said dad and mama, so we've come a long way.
Following his appointment we ate at White Fence Farms, the Knotts Berry Farm of Colorado - or so I've heard, and Michael loved it! The food was sub-par but they had a petting zoo, playground and bunnies everywhere so he was in heaven. Our boy was fearless when it came to the petting zoo. He must have forgotten about being bitten by a horse when we were in Grapevine recently (they were hungry and no, he wasn't hurt). Anyway, check out some photos below:
Naturally with all of the excitement, he fell asleep on the way home.
On Saturday, David participated in a poker run put on by one of our friends and after winning a raffle, got to drive this around town:
He LOVED driving it but Michael and I were unable to come along, so we met him at his final stop - Lakeside Amusement Park where Michael rode his first amusement park ride! The park has a kiddie area and he was eager to run over and check out all the rides the moment we got there. I asked one of the attendants if he'd be okay to ride the "Jolly Choo Choo" and she said "oh yes." So, after he had stared at the ride for a while, he got buckled in, ready for his first ride. He was beaming with excitement, cute little grin on his face. Then, as the ride started, that smile turned into a frown and the cries began. Let's just say I had the attendant stop the ride midway through to get him.
Now, you'd think he'd swear off rides forever but nope, he was back to pointing/begging me to let him ride it again. So, we tried another ride and low and behold, no tears. He had an amazing day:
Sunday we went to a friend's house for a BBQ and he enjoyed playing with all of the other kids there - mostly watching them run around and trying to keep up. And Monday we went grocery shopping and to a car show.
It was a great weekend and we have more in store in June, as we're headed to NYC - twice no less! More to come and to hold you over for a few weeks, here's a cute photo of Michael (LOVE those baby blues)
