A Circus & A Photo Shoot

The Circus:

This weekend Michael went to his first circus and I'm pretty sure if he could say it, he'd say it was the best day of his life and I'd add ... so far.

We sat third row at Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey's "Built to Amaze" show, and all of us really enjoyed it - such talented entertainers. Below are some pictures:

A Photo Shoot:

What's quickly becoming an annual tradition, we took Michael to Hudson Garden's to play in the pumpkin patch, the corn maze and around the beautiful gardens. He had a blast and I had my camera handy.

Our little boy is growing up so fast but he's still as handsome and photogenic as ever. Enjoy:

Other Updates:

In what's sure to be a quick month-and-a-half, Michael James will turn 2. Wow, how time flies. An update on how he's doing:
  • He will pretty much try and say anything you ask him too, and is beginning to put more than one word together. The latest is "rick or reat" ... or something like that (getting ready for Halloween).
  • With that said he is a sponge and we often catch him copying our words and gestures. So far, so good.
  • He can make animal sounds for nearly every animal we challenge him with.
  • He is way too good with technology and has quickly become a fan of iPads and iPhones.
  • He still has an obsession with shoes - takes them off, puts them on and sometimes, sleeps cuddled up with them when he gets a new pair.
  • He is getting good with stairs, up and down. We're still watchful but we're getting closer to releasing the gates.
  • He went to his first Colorado Rockies baseball game. We lasted five innings - pretty good for a 1.5 year old.

He's also enjoying a new winter wardrobe thanks to his Nonny and us, and he's quick to model for me before heading to "school."

And he has two "best friends" in his "Fawn" class, Noble and Jacob. They've attended Highlands Ranch Learning Center together through three classes, but as they grow older, they're playing with each other, smile and laugh with excitement when they're all together, hold hands, etc. It's very cute and we plan to invite them both to Michael's second birthday party (which is still coming together, but I better get a move on).
Here are a few final pictures I thought I'd tack on of our sweet boy:

Next up, Halloween and a birthday. Stay tuned...

Until then, love you and miss you all!
