First Comes First
Easter 2015 started off in traditional style with a visit to the Easter Bunny. You might remember that last year David was a prominent fixture in our visit as Michael was too scared to sit on his lap by himself. Well, we weren't sure how this year would go but boy was he excited... I don't know, can you tell from this picture?! He ran right up and after he visited with the Easter Bunny, and told him he wanted toys and candy for Easter, he kept peeking around the corner to wave at him before it was time to leave. It was a good, exciting day.Easter Morning
The Easter Bunny was very kind to Michael this year - he is a very lucky boy. He got lots of great stuff and David and he have had fun building lego's and playing with these fun "boxing" gloves. Check it out below:| A yummy breakfast is a must to kick-off the day! |
And you HAVE to cook a traditional Easter fest - ours included deviled eggs, honey ham, hash brown casserole, green bean casserole and Hawaiian rolls.

Think he's excited?! And he is still in his clothes from the day before because he fell asleep in the car after one of his Easter Egg Hunts and stayed asleep all the way until Easter morning.

How Many Easter Egg Hunts Should One Kid Do?
Well, Michael participated in four. He had one at his school, a community hunt at a park nearby, a friends hunt with all his buddies from school and one with family. We have A TON of eggs and candy at home but we plan to help Michael with all his winnings. The community hunt we go to every year, but he loves it nonetheless. Here are some snaps from that event:
There's a playground next to the egg hunt area that we enjoyed prior to our egg pickin'
Soooo many eggs
There were lots of vendors there passing out everything from toothbrushes to guitars - Michael grabbed one of each.
So excited for the whistle to blow so the hunt can begin.

And away we go...
So happy he had to high-five Daddy.
Look at all those eggs...
Then, that same afternoon, we had a friend's Easter Egg Hunt where 10 or so of Michael's closest friends met-up at a park for what will surely become a new tradition. Everyone, parents included, had a blast! Check out Michael with his friends below:
These aren't in the best order, but here are all the eggs he found at the friends hunt.

So happy running around.

Family + Breckenridge = A Great Way to Spend Easter
This year, my uncle Kirk, Chris and my cousin's (aka Michael's cousins) were skiing in Breckenridge over Easter and David, Michael, Auntie Em and I traveled to the mountains to visit. We dyed some eggs, built a snowman, went a delicious lunch at a new place called Cantina and had our own family Easter Egg Hunt.| Trying to build a snowman... |
On the shuttle bus to lunch and yes, I'm still pregnant - 31 weeks.
Cousin Jessica and Michael in his new Rockies baseball jersey.

L to R - Cousin Nathan, Michael, Cousin Jessica and Cousin Anthony love hanging with little Michael.
Family got Michael some stickers and his first thought? put them on his face... goofy boy.

Outside restaurant Cantina - it was yummy. Thanks Kirk!

There we go... check out that snowman!
So, it was a really wonderful weekend. And I'm 31 weeks closer to welcoming a new member to our little family. Can you believe it?! Me either. I am doing well but get pretty tired at night - but can't keep me down... We have begun to pull stuff out of the basement in anticipation and I've spoiled myself with a new diaper bag and infant carrier. We are looking forward to our next adventure.
Until next time, love you all!
