A Modified Schedule...
Hailey, Michael and I are especially enjoying our modified schedules per my maternity leave. Michael gets to sleep in, get to school around 9 for swim lessons, then plays in the pool with friends and Hailey and I pick him up after his afternoon playtime (except for Adventure Friday's when I pick him up after swim lessons).Michael LOVES swimming (see pics further down), and while he is swimming, I do "Stroller Strides." It's essentially boot camp with other Moms and babies and it's awesome. Hailey and I enjoy it five days a week and Michael joins us on Saturdays.
The Adventures Continue
We've been having fun as a family, even trying hibachi recently - where Michael kept exclaiming "more fire, more fire...!" and the hibachi chef complied...Michael is also getting ready for t-ball, which begins this Saturday, July 11. He'll be playing with his buddies Jacob and Nash, and to get him ready, we bought him a bat, glove, etc. Here he is practicing with Daddy:
And generally we're just having fun as a family! Playing with water guns, cuddle time, catching-up with Auntie 'Em and more...
BIG yawn...
At the S. Pearl Street Farmer's Market working the Buchtel Motors booth.
WAY too excited to be at Home Depot shopping for blinds, but a cute picture. I love him and his enthusiasm!
Trying to hold her own bottle... she's so smart and strong.
My little Michael, always the cuddler.
"You lookin' at me?!"
Water gun fight... "Michael, RUN!"
Ha ha - that's what he gets for spraying me, Hailey and David :-)
Fourth of July Fun!
We had a blast this Fourth of July! We went to a couple of local events where Michael got to play with friends and ride pony's, mini-trains and more. Then we played in the backyard with more friends, popped fireworks, went swimming and celebrated in style!| Dressed in red, white and blue, ready for adventures! |
Hailey was night night but she had on a pink white and blue onesie... close enough :-)
Smiley and then goofy at lunch (see below).
There were bouncy houses at one of the events we attended.
And tattoos, where Michael HAD to have Superman and HAD to have it on his leg - my strange little boy.
So proud.
He rode this train at least three times.
And he loved the pony ride - the pony's name is Beauty.
Some backyard fun with baby and me.
Auggie bought Michael an inflatable pool and he was a big helper in filling it up.
Our fireworks - tanks, chickens, sparklers, lightening bug and more.
Enjoying the pool (even though it was freezing as he had just filled it up).
Hailey hung out with us in the backyard for the Fourth festivities.
We also played cornhole thanks to my Mom's birthday gift - thanks Mom!
Sparkler time!
Now fireworks are up...
Michael with his buddies Avery and Reagan.
Inside one of the obstacle course bouncy houses.
I ended-up having to go in and rescue them, which I have had to do more than once...
New Wood Floors
Because why not?! We don't have anything else going on or anything, ha ha. While David's Dad was in town, they worked on replacing our downstairs carpet with wood floors. David finished-up the trim and stairs this week and the new living room looks amazing!| There's no coffee table in this picture, but we were able to move it down last night. |
We are having fun and doing well. Hope everyone enjoyed their Fourth of July as much as we did!
