Festivals, T-Ball, Hiking & More...

My Hailey Baby

I attempted a photo shoot with little Hailey Ann, and while not near as good as Auggie "paparazzi," below are some updated photos of our growing baby girl:

And our other supermodel, Michael James. He needed a haircut and according to him it HAD to look like Spiderman. Such beautiful children I am blessed with...

Our Lil' CO Hiker, Always Eager to Hike

If Michael could go on a hike everyday he would - so we try to appease his wishes as frequently as we can.

Last week's "Adventure Friday" was a hike to Lair O' The Bear - here is a quick selfie with a happy little boy on our way.

SO good on his Strider...

And too fast for Mommy...

Had to try and capture a picture with the three of us, Hailey too!

Here is a random, one-off pic but after our hike I caught Michael "reading" Hailey a book. SO cute and I snuck a pic when he wasn't looking.

Hello "Little Rockies" - It's T-Ball Time!

That's right... although it feels like soccer just ended, on Saturday t-ball began. Michael's joining his buddies Jacob and Nash as a "Little CO Rockies" t-ball player and David is coach (Coach Daddy according to Michael). Although they lost their first scrimmage, the boys had a ton of fun! Check it out the first game below:

"Coach Daddy" coaching the kids and getting them in position.

Little Michael is in the center of this photo with his glove by his face. He is #2.

Time for Michael to bat for his first time!

He eventually hit it...

And got on base.

"Coach Daddy" still plays Daddy and is attentive to Michael - this time, getting his glove on.

"Put me in coach... I'm ready to play..."

Michael and his good buddy Jacob - two peas in a pod.

LtoR - Michael, Jacob and Nash.
T-Ball is every Saturday for the next several weeks and it's been fun watching little boy's excitement with everything baseball right now.

The Irish Festival Was A Hit!

Michael absolutely LOVED the annual CO Irish Festival and so did we!

Michael's been dying to do these hamster balls but everywhere we've gone that has had them has terribly long lines - this one was much shorter and they were very willing to help Michael slowly roll around.

They had LOTS of bouncy house options at the Festival and this one had a slide...

He loved them all.

He really wanted to shoot a bow and arrow at this little kids tent...

So Daddy helped.

"When in Rome..."

You buy your kid a sword and a kilt because why not?!

He has also always wanted to do this trampoline thing but hasn't been big enough. Well he finally was but still needed a little help...

From Daddy.

And Hailey joined-in on the fun too...

There were playgrounds at the park where the Festival was being held - who doesn't love a good playground?! Apparently David loves them too!

A Family Hike Somewhere New!

This Sunday we went on a hike in Roxborough State Park. We've never hiked here before, but it was absolutely stunning and Michael loved it. He hiked 2.5 miles alongside us - amazing little boy.

There were these huge boulders all over the park.

Absolutely stunning - walls of red boulders.

So strong ;)

My beautiful view during the hike.

Mom's Night Out

Every month or so, me and some of the Highlands Ranch Learning Center moms get together for a Mom's Night Out. This month some of us went to dinner and saw "The Bangles" in concert. You know, "Manic Monday," "Walk Like an Egyptian?" Some classic 80s jams. We had a great time.

LtoR - me, Lori (Reagan's Mom), Kate (Keira's Mom) and Orla (the other Keira's Mom)

Mommy Does Boot Camp

Every morning after I drop off Michael for swim lessons, I go to Stroller Strides - a mom/kid-centric fitness program that's held at a park nearby. It's hard work but Hailey and I have fun and laugh sometimes too... Below were some fun relay races we did earlier this week. It looks uncoordinated but I promised we all worked-up a good sweat and had some fun too!

Dinosaur Ridge

Today, after picking-up Michael and taking him, Hailey and David to see the new Minions movie in 3D, we went to Dinosaur Ridge. Michael has been learning about dinosaurs and is obsessed with them, especially t-rex.

Here he is holding a t-rex tooth replica.

A real dinosaur bone in the rock!

Here is Michael hanging out below some footprints of a brontosaurus.

Climbing up a hillside alongside dino footprints in the rock.

Standing inside a 300+ million year old brontosaurus footprint.

T-Rex footprints!

Tried to get a selfie with the Dinosaur Ridge sign behind us... will have to settle for part of it.

And a Few More Hailey Shots to Make Your Day... Because why not?!
