A Rare Adults Trip... to Maryland, Virginia, and D.C.!

It's not often that David and I get to sneak away for some adult time, but this past weekend, thanks to my sis and bro Emily and Tyler, we made it happen. I have a business trip in Washington D.C. this week and David suggested we utilize the weekend before to visit our great friend, Sean, who lives in nearby Maryland. So, we + our CO-based bestie Mindy, jetsetted to Maryland for a weekend of fun!

Our fun began on Friday with a surprise trip - courtesy of Sean - to Alexandra, VA, home of the National Harbor. We shopped, ate, drank, gambled, and stayed the night. Check out some pics below from our adventure:

Then, after a night of fun, we went into D.C.'s Georgetown neighborhood and ended the night with the biggest slice of pizza you've ever seen!

And the trip didn't stop there! We used our Sunday to take a beautiful hike along the Potomac River. These pictures are not edited. This green is real! Gorgeous...

And don't you worry, those babies of ours were treated like a King and Queen thanks to their Auntie 'Em and Uncle Tyler. Case in point, they got to play putt putt, go to the arcade, get in the hot tub, and go to a movie in their pajamas! I am very thankful Em and Ty were so generous and willing to watch the kids so we could enjoy our weekend away.

Next post, D.C.! I started my walking tour and will continue tomorrow. Pictures to come!
