Michael’s First Road Trip

This past weekend my little sister Emily graduated from Texas Tech University with her Bachelor’s Degree in public relations. David, Michael and I wanted to be there to cheer her on as she walked across that stage, so we rented a car and off we went.

I had read and read about how to prepare a baby for a nine-hour drive, expecting some unhappy moments along the way, and loaded the car with toys, snacks, bottles, music and more. And to our
delight, Michael slept and played almost the whole way there and back. He did great!

We don’t road trip often, but I’m proud of how well he did.

And Michael won’t be away from his aunt Emily too long. She’ll be moving to Denver to live with our family while she works for a local PR firm. We’re excited to have our roomie back in town and Michael will be excited to play with someone other than mommy and daddy I’m sure.
